JSE Limited is the largest stock exchange in Africa, which is located in Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa.
The annual JSE Spire award is recognised as the benchmark for South African markets, as voted for by the largest institutional investors.
The Goal
JSE approached Flock Eventing Platform this year for help with hosting the awards online because of Covid-19 lockdown restrictions.
The Solution
The Flock team stepped in to offer JSE a virtual platform that featured live chats and commenting during the event, which meant that all participants could share, collaborate and engage on each of the segments, delivering a much richer and more meaningful experience. Attendees could also sit at tables and move around floors to network.
The 19th annual JSE Spire Awards took place on 30 March 2021. The annual award ceremony was the benchmark for the South African Capital Markets as it recognises and celebrates achievements voted for by the market.
To get the event into gear, the MC, Graeme Codrington, who is a futurist, speaker, board advisor and author, shared interesting insights on the future of work and the disruptive forces that are shaping it. The virtual ceremony was attended by the broad financial ecosystem including traders, analysts and executives of financial organisations.
